Choosing the shape and style of your lampshade
The Maison Tricard workshop hand-crafts made-to-measure fabric or parchment lampshades using the great traditional techniques of the lampshade maker: sewn, laminated, banded-pleat or "juponné" (flounced) shades. For every project we select the most suitable high-end designer fabrics (silk, linen, cotton, velvet, taffeta) or parchment to match your interior and the character of your light fixture.
Whether you are an interior designer, an upholsterer, an antique dealer or a private individual, we design a lampshade that fits perfectly onto your existing lamp base: from restoring an old frame to fully crafting a made-to-measure shape to your exact dimensions. Conical, drum, pagoda, ball, fedora, pyramid, Alsatian-square, Spanish-square shapes and many others can be made.
Every order begins with a consultation (at the workshop, by video call, or through an exchange of photos) to define the shape, fabric, finishes and exact dimensions. Production time: 5 to 6 weeks.
